The Swedish Society of Medicine invites you to an evening with Professor Lord Darzi, a surgeon who led the Independent Review of the NHS in 2024 in England, along with other distinguished speakers.
The event will take place on March 10, 5:00–7:00 PM, with an optional dinner afterward. It is also possible to attend the lectures online.
Lectures and discussions will be held in English.

About Professor Lord Darzi
Professor Lord Darzi is Co-Director of the Institute of Global Health Innovation at Imperial College London and holds the Paul Hamlyn Chair of Surgery. He is a Consultant Surgeon at Imperial College NHS Trust and the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.
He is Executive Chair of the Fleming Initiative, a research institute addressing antimicrobial resistance, and led the Independent Review of the NHS in 2024. He also chairs the NHS Accelerated Access Collaborative and the Pre-emptive Medicine and Health Security Initiative at Flagship Pioneering UK plc.
A Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences, the Royal Society, and an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, Professor Lord Darzi was knighted in 2002 and introduced to the House of Lords as Lord Darzi of Denham in 2007. He has been a member of His Majesty’s Privy Council since 2009 and received the Order of Merit in 2016.

Cost: Thanks to support from the Stig Lindgren Fund, the lectures are free of charge.
