Call for BCPT Prize 2023 Nominations and call for applications for financial support from BCPT to events and conferences

Call 1: BCPT Nordic Prize 2023

To date, 12 outstanding scientists have received the prize, namely Professor Pertti J. Neuvonen, Finland (2011), Professor Michael J. Mulvany, Denmark (2012), Professor Folke Sjöqvist, Sweden (2013), Professor Olavi Pelkonen, Finland (2014), Professor Philippe Grandjean, Denmark (2015), Professor Jan Alexander, Norway (2016), Professor Thue W. Schwartz, Denmark (2017), Professor Magnus Ingelman-Sundberg, Sweden (2018) and Professor Mats Karlsson, Sweden (2019), Professor Heikki Ruskoaho, Finland (2020), Professor Henrik Enghusen Poulsen, Denmark (2021) and Professor Kim Brøsen, Denmark (2022).

The conditions for being considered as a BCPT prize winner are attached, and the journal encourages both member societies and individual members to submit motivated proposals for prize winner candidates.

Proposals should be emailed to Henrik Horneberg, hhorneberg@health.sdu.dk no later than 1 June 2023. The decision about the 2023 prize winner will be made at the BCPT Annual Meeting in September 2023 and announced directly afterwards. The prize amounts to 15,000 Euro.

Call 2: BCPT Young Researcher Nordic Prize 2023

This prize was introduced in 2020, and to date 3 outstanding researchers have received the prize, i.e. Professor Anton Pottegård, Denmark (2020), Associate Professor Morten Schmidt, Denmark (2021) and Associate Professor Tore B. Stage, Denmark (2022). Please read the nomination criteria in the attached call. Nominations for this year should be emailed to Henrik Horneberg, hhorneberg@health.sdu.dk no later than 1 June 2023. The decision about the 2023 prize winner will be made at the BCPT Annual Meeting in September 2023 and announced directly afterwards. The prize amounts to 7,500 Euro.

Call 3: Financial support to Focused Nordic conferences

Please also check out the attached information about a BCPT-sponsored Focused Nordic conference within the fields of pharmacology and toxicology. Applications for up to 40,000 Euro should be directed to hhorneberg@health.sdu.dk as well, and the deadline for this is 1 August 2023.
