18-19 April 2018 at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden
In the era of the Sustainable Development Goals and in an increasingly globalized world, global health is a key area for research, education, and practice. We invite you to take part in the Swedish Global Health Research Conference: How can Sweden contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals? From Research to Action.
Through panels and interactive workshops, we will explore global health research. The conference is a platform for everyone who wants to learn more about the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and discuss how they through their studies, research and work can contribute to its fulfilment. Recognising that we all can contribute and improve the health of the world, the Global Health Research Conference welcomes everyone with an interest in global health, ranging from students, active researchers and colleagues interested in starting global health research.
To fulfil the Sustainable Development Goals, we must intensify our efforts to improve the health of everyone, especially in regions of the world with the highest burden of disease. At the same time, we must fight challenges, such as climate change, air pollution, communicable diseases, and chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, and mental illness. Therefore, the Global Health Research Conference aim to stimulate cooperation across disciplines and generations, to explore how we can jointly meet these challenges.
The conference is organized by the Swedish Society of Medicine in cooperation with
